When custom knifemaker Princeton Wong’s wine-enthusiast friend asked if he could design a pocket knife with a corkscrew, Princeton — never one to back down from a technical problem-solving challenge — couldn’t say no. The result was the Fion custom, a mechanically elegant folding knife that concealed a corkscrew and boot lever within its handle. It was Princeton’s first entry into Blade Show, earning him the Best New Maker award. Now, the spirit of the Fion has been reborn in the Fial, which carries over all of its innovations and functionality. Marvel at how the boot lever almost invisibly aligns with contours of the handle, and easily slice through charcuterie with the generous drop-point blade.
